Abstract
Lending is the most important function of commercial bank as a initial service, as a support to the development of the nations economy. Thus went a long way to highlight the problems, that are associated with lending. Lending as traditional functions of the commercial banks following the general introduction of the problems and the objectives of the study and the hypothesis were stated.  The literature review lays emphasis that lending is an important aspect of banks and one of the central/cardinal principles of banking, bank is to ensure effective lending which is to maximize profitability and ensure adequately the length of time the customer stays with the bank gives the banker an insight into the customers financial ability to manage. In research designed, the method on tailed the combine procedures of preliminary personal investigation, or interview and the interview by the researcher with the administrative manager of first bank PLC, as were as literature on strategic planning helps the researcher to conceptualize the problem, which serves as a basis for formation of questionnaires. Therefore, the lending department duty in caring out is to exercise reasonable care in all she does using general acceptable strategies for vital services to avoid those problems that may crop up in the process of lending. ...
