Abstract
This project examines rural development as a strategy for national development - a study of Suleja local government to identify the rural development strategy in the study, to evaluate the level of development in the study area.to evaluate the strategies of rural development in the study area. The primary source was used to generate data, specifically, questionnaire were administered. The research discovered that there is no functional rural development programme in Suleja local government and communities are not actively involved in rural development programs. It is, therefore, recommended that local government should continue to educate and actively involve the communities in rural development programmes, communities should embark on self-help projects in the area of infrastructural development.   ...
