Abstract
The study focused on causes and remedies of Job dissatisfaction among secretaries in an organization in Lokoja local government, Kogi State. The descriptive research design was used in this project. The total population for the study comprised three hundred and eighty (380) staff of the organization. One hundred and twenty (120) were chosen as the sample. Questionnaires were administered to the staff of Lokoja Local Government Area, Kogi State. The findings revealed that Job dissatisfaction affects workers' performance in Lokoja Local government s. It was also revealed that Staff motivation reduces job dissatisfaction in Lokoja Local Government. Thus, it was recommended that Government should provide workers with the needed facilities in order to enhance job performances in Lokoja local government. Also, it is recommended that The environment in which secretaries work should be made ideal, at least to meet up with the minimum standard condition set by the government legislation on the aspect of the office....
