Production of biolubricant from Carica Papaya seed oil Department: Chemistry By: Ziggerzillion Project ID: 7058 Rating: (5.0) votes: 1Rate this project12345 Price:₦2000 Get the Complete MaterialAbstractViability of Paw Paw Paw seed (Carica papaya) Seed-oil as a potential feedstock for biolubricant was examined. The biodiesel produced from the seed oil was processed through trimethylolpropane (TMP) route. Esterification of oil methyl ester with polyol alcohol like trimethylolpropane (TMP) yields di-esters and tri-esters. The mixture of di-esters and tri-esters is called biolubricant. The yield of the extracted oil was 59% of the total seed. Gas-chromatographic analysis of the oil extract showed that the oil was predominantly constituted by mono-unsaturated fatty acid (Oleic acid, 76%) while the percentage of the saturated fatty acids was 24% (palmitic acid 6.1%, Stearic acid 7.5% and others 10.4%)....Preview Download Preview +Other Chemistry project topics and materials you might be interested in»Minerals and phytochemical analysis of watermelon seeds (Citrullus Lanatus)»Kinectic study and heavy metals removals from used engine oil treated with groundnut shells»Synthesis and exploration of ion nanoparticles using costus after flower extract as a reducing agent»Characteristics of humic substances from strongly acidic soil remediated and restored using humin enhanced biodegradable waste materials»Characteristics of humic substances from strongly acidic soil remediated and restored using CNB-TECH end product»Production of hair growth oil and body lotion from Pumpkin and Pawpaw seed oil»Ethanol production from cocoyam peels»Analysis of the quality of groundwater (boreholes)»Phytochemical and proximate analysis of Combretum Zenkeri Ubi»Biodiesel production using soybean oil and characterization»Spectroscopic and phytochemical evaluation of methanolic extract of mahogany tree gum for possible biosynthetic process»Biosynthesis of bark peel of aerial yam-magnesium oxide nano composites for biosensing application»Determination of total hydrocarbon and total petroleum hydrocarbon in the sediments of Oturuba river»Production of biolubricant from Carica Papaya seed oil»The production of vegetable tanned leather using Parkia Clappertoniana (Pod and Bark) as tanning material
