This research study was a descriptive survey carried out to assess the knowledge of adolescents about the factors influencing the termination of unwanted pregnancies in selected secondary schools in Ilorin East Local Government Area. The objectives of the study were to determine if sex education influences the termination of unwanted pregnancy, to identify if poverty is a factor that influences the termination of unwanted pregnancy, to determine if fear of education discontinuation influences the termination of unwanted pregnancy and to identify the environment as a factor that influences termination of unwanted pregnancy. 70 respondents were used for the research. The information from the research was manually analyzed and presented using frequency tables and bar charts. Hypotheses were tested using chi-square at 0.05 level of significance. The analysis revealed that most of the adolescents were knowledgeable about the factors influencing the termination of unwanted pregnancy 53(75.71%) and 17(24.29%) had poor knowledge. With this knowledge, all the factors provided in the study were identified as having influence. 21(30%) respondents believed sex education has no influence on the termination of unwanted pregnancy, 49(70%) disagreed. Poverty as a factor was majorly agreed to by 60(85.71%) of the respondents while 10(14.29%) disagreed.
