Abstract
The eye as the sense of sight has the most dominant role in influencing every aspect of life. However, nowadays there are many visual disturbances, ranging from mild to severe which can lead to blindness. The difference in perception between the two provinces is not a matter of experimental design, implementation, or partial compliance. Instead, we find that the lack of perception in the wealthier provinces is mainly due to less blackboard usage in class and wealthier households. The study evaluated the perception of students on the use of eyeglasses among 96 student nurses across different arms of classes in College Of Nursing Obangede Kogi State, using a self-structured electronic questionnaire which was administered and findings was later retrieved for sorting and analysis using bar chart, histogram and hypothesis was tested using chi-square statistics.  Findings from the research shed light on the habits and perceptions of student nurses concerning the use of eyeglasses. A notable percentage of respondents (92%) use eyeglasses during their daily activities, especially during study or work hours. The study revealed a strong consensus among respondents regarding the potential risks associated with uncorrected refractive error, such as eye fatigue, blurred vision, and eye strain. Despite the concerns raised, the chi-square analysis suggested that there is no significant difference among students nurse of Kogi College of Nursing readiness to adopt the use of eyeglasses for correcting and treating eye defects based on gender.  In conclusion, this research underscores the importance of understanding the perception of the participants in this study towards spectacle wear for correction and treating visual impairment is generally good. Generally, this condition can be attributed to a number of factors such as individual perception of the use of glasses to restore or maintain better vision....
