The data was collected through the use of questionnaires. Findings were made on the factor that mergers and acquisitions will definitely bear a strong option for detecting failures in banking industries. It was however recommended that the concept of merger and acquisition should be more strengthened to the public at all costs to increase the standard level of bank participation in the banking sector.
