The commercial property evident in the study area are office business, shop, ware house and super market/mall. In a bid to lead investors a right on the best decision of the type of property to invest their hard earn income in, there was the study of the trends in rental values of the properties between 2008– 2018. During this research work, data were gathered through questionnaires, observation, interview and journals. A total of 200 questionnaire were administered, out this number 148 were correctly filled, returned and analyzed. The percentage and frequencies and as well as regression analysis was used to analyze the data gathered, judging from the response and analysis of interview and the finding thereon, I was able to deduce that commercial properties in Abakaliki is in adequate.
