Abstract
This work examines the effect of Nepotism on the Recruitment process in Nigeria public service. A case study of Akwa Ibom State civil service commission Uyo. The study seeks to investigate the method and procedures of recruitment and selection of staff adopted by the Nigerian public as well as factors that effect their choice of recruitment and selection process. In the course of this work the researcher employs survey design and makes use of questionnaires to gather information on the research area. Based on the findings of this study, one of the recommendation was that the Personnel Department has to be professionally equipped with competent personnel to make recruitment and selection processes a success. ...
