The data used were sourced from the CBN statistical bulletin for the period 1981 to 2019. Two research questions guided the study. The data collected were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The result revealed government non-oil revenue was significant and had an impact on manufacturing sector output in Nigeria, value-added tax was insignificant and had no impact on the manufacturing sector output in Nigeria. Following the findings, it was recommended that government should increase its expenditures on infrastructural facilities so as to boost manufacturing output, government should come up with stable policy guidelines to enable tax payment and prevent the problem of taxation from occurring.
