Social development is a process that results in the transformation of structure to improve the capacity of society in order to fulfill its objective, aiming specifically in developing power to elevate expansion of human activity. The researcher is also finding out the socio-environmental impact of the higher institution on the host community within the context of the regional development and sustainable development, the socio-implication between the indigenes and non-indigenes of the host community as well as revealing a positive correlation and symbiotic relationship between the university and the community. In carrying out this survey research, questionnaire, personnel observation and personal interview with the resident of the study area were employed. The sample size of the survey was a total of hundred (100) respondent randomly selected from Mkpat Enin community and its environs, it was found out the institution has brought positive increase in the socio-economic status and physical development and improvement in the standard of living, electricity, good roads, hospital, market.
