Abstract
Research programs are carried out in most cases to analyze one marketing problem or the other in the business world. In this case, this study has been designed to examine channel of distribution of flour to the hand of the ultimate users. These activities were carefully examined through the appraisal at the channel of distributing flours. The objectives of the study are to determine the effect of channel of distribution on product price, to examine the effect of channel of distribution on consumer satisfaction and to examine the effects of channel of distribution on the place and time utility. The method of data collection was done through questionnaire and interviews. There were two method used in analyzing the data collected which are simple percentage table which was used to analyze the response gotten from the questionnaires distributed and the chi– square statistical technique which was used to test for the hypothesis formulated. The following recommendation was made that feasible organization should embark on vertical integration i.e. set up a network to buy or produce their own raw material and at the sources time, a networks for distributing their products through their own wholesale and retail outlets. There should be a competitive and corporative advantage in the company system of distribution of credit facilities and other motivational strategies should be adopted. Different channel of distribution should be established, depending on the nature of the product. i.e. either zero level, one level, two levels of distribution. The research and development department of the company should focus a search light on competition distribution system. i.e. strategies and policies of competitors in the same industry must be always kept under watch....
