Abstract
Glass is a non-crystalline solid that is often transparent and has widespread practical, technological, and decorative usage, for example, window panes, tableware and optoelectronics. The most familiar and historically the oldest types of glass are” silicate glasses, based on chemical compound silica. The common type of glasses are flat glass, laminated safety glass, optical glass, colored structural glass, opal glass, laboratory glassware, glass for electrical uses, glass tubing, invisible glass, photochromic glass, photosensitive glass, heavy metal fluoride glass. The properties of glass are hardness and nature, durability, static, impact strength, chemical resistance, ultraviolet transmission, visible light transmission, tensile strength, infrared transmission and it has been traditionally used for vessels, bowls, bottles, jars and drinking. In it most solid form it has also been used for paper-weight marbles and beads, some objects historically were so commonly made of silicate glass that they are simply called by the name of the materials such as glasses....
