The objective of this study is to determine or ascertain their information needs, sources of information, information seeking behaviour, problems encountered while seeking information and the possible solutions to the problems. In course of carrying out the research, a validated structured or closed-ended questionnaire was used to collect data. Findings showed that libraries have information needs ranging from educational information (83:3%), student’s information (16.7%), Polytechnic information (50%), Government information (100%), departmental information (50%), management information, (50%), security information (66.7%), information for recreation (66.7%), information relating to other libraries (66.7%), information about NLA (100%), research information (100%) and community information (66.7%): The sources of their information are: colleagues (100%), other libraries (33.3%), Publishers (33.3%), Internet (100%), radio and television (50) and (100) percent respectively, books (33.3%), serials (66.7%), reference sources (50%) and audio-visual/non-print materials (50) percent. When seeking information they search the internet (100%), visit other libraries (50%), consult colleagues (83.3%), consult published materials (100%), watch television (100%), listen to the radio (66.7) and use library catalogue (50) percent.
