This research work has been directed towards the impact of deregulation on bank profitability in the banking industry. The data were analyzed using the chi-square method and the result showed that deregulation will not result in unemployment and will not affect bank profitability negatively thereby helping in the efficiency and effectiveness of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.
