Abstract
Taking a critical study of the management industrial conflict in an organization with Federal Polytechnic Bida as a case study, primary and secondary source of data were used in the project work. Also, a simple percentage was used and hypotheses formulated were proved leading to the acceptance of some of the hypotheses raised while one was rejected. It's was revealed that conflict arises from the delay of salary and incentive programs coupled with poor line of communication and unconducive environment, poor management worker's relationship. The management of Federal Polytechnic Bida should effectively manage its staff and their demand through an effective medium of conflict resolution and provide solutions to such demands and also provide a lasting solution to such causes. Industrial conflicts in organizations are inevitable. Conflict is inevitable among humans as long as they work in the same organization or live in the same society. For employees to perform their crucial roles effectively and efficiently there must exist a strong cordial relationship between the employees and the employers in the organization. Industrial conflict is an everyday phenomenon in each organization and as a result of this, there is a growing recognition of the importance of conflict management in an organization. ...
