Abstract
This research work concentrated on fraud management in the Nigeria Banking Industry. In chapter one was explained through the examination of the background of the study. Based on the examinations, the bank has really suffered tremendous financial loss from fraudsters. Chapter two deals with so many ways fraud have been perpetrated on so many things that led to the incidence of fraud in the banking industry. In chapter three, Mainstreet Bank Aba was chosen as a case study and the sample size was chosen randomly from management staff, senior and junior staff of the four branches of banks in Aba, about one hundred and twenty (120) questionnaires were distributed only ninety-two (92) responded while twenty-eight (28) did not return their own due to one reason or the other. While in chapter four sample percentage and frequency table were used in the analysis of the data. Their hypothesis was formulated and the statistical techniques were used in testing chi-square (x2). Chapter five talks about how fraud has eaten deep into the banking system, such that its negative effect is now on everything you may think of. Managers should not see their position in the bank as a road to becoming a millionaire overnight. Consideration should be given to the customers whose money and valuable assets are to be safeguarded. In recommendation, management should be created and nothing should be taken for granted. Government should be on the lookout and use more stringent measures to ensure that fraud is controlled, and fraudsters or culprits adequately and promptly punished in accordance with the provision of the law. ...
