Abstract
This research work is based on knowledge, acceptance and utilization of OPV immunization in Dange shuni local government in Sokoto state. The study is aimed at determining the knowledge, acceptance and utilization of OPV immunization in Dange shuni local government of Sokoto state. The specific objectives stated as occurred in the research literature were reviewed to find out among other things what other researchers have found in relation to the study. A cross-sectional descriptive survey research design was used and the instrument used for the collection of data was interview, questionnaires were analyzed statistically using tables. Findings from the study revealed that the knowledge of respondent based on OPV immunization is 76.3%, 77.3% has accepted the use of OPV immunization, while based on utilization 60% of respondents know the dosage of OPV immunization. Among others recommendations are based on the outcome of the study. Religions and opinion leaders should be involved to get rid of the misconception and improve acceptance and utilization of OPV immunization and policy should be made that before a child is enrolled in school, parents must show evidence of having received a complete dosage of OPV immunization and other means that will not be harsh to the community....
