The development process depends to a large extent on the efficiency and capability of a country’s construction industry. In view of these, various Nigerian governments have embarked upon a number of policies aimed at improving construction activities. The project identifies several ways by which the construction industry had contributed to the development of Nigerian. The extent and assessment of these contributions of the industry would be considered in terms of output, employment generation and export. Chapter one of this project is an introduction that gives a general background of the research. It also defines the problem as well as the aims and objectives of this project. The limitation and scope were also included. Chapter two reveals the major literature on the subject matter. Chapter three carries out research on the subject matter and reveals the findings of the research.
