The following problems were encountered in the current system The process of booking appointments is very stressful. The hospital is always overcrowded with patients booking for appointments. Finally, the process of retrieving information related to patient records is very tedious and cumbersome The aim of this project is to design a Patient and Doctor Appointment system. The following objectives were met: Ensure that people book for an appointment at ease without difficulty/stress. Decongest the amount of crowd at the hospital premises thereby ensuring that people can book an appointment at their comfort zone and ensuring easy retrieval of patient records. The methodology to be used is the Structured System Analysis and Design Methodology. This was considered because it breaks down the project into smaller phases that can easily be managed and achieved. The tools to be used for the development of the new system are PHP for the back end, Javascript for the Front End and MySQL for the Database Administration.
