It also informed the school authorities on the effect of social media on the academic performance of the students' health information management practice in the school. Among the objectives is to ascertain the effect of the use of social media on students of health information management academic performance. Furthermore, examine the relationship between students’ usage of social media and their academic performance. Many medical and allied works of literature were reviewed to develop more facts for the project work. This research use descriptive survey to sample 272 students of School of Health Technology Daura. Questionnaire is the instrument used to gather and analyze the data, 159 questionnaires were distributed out of which 106 were retrieved. In conclusion, recommendations were made that there is a need for extensive training programmes organized at regular intervals so that all categories of users can improve their efficiency in the use of social media and the school management should availability of social media facilities within the premises for student’s usage.
