It also informed the health officers on the value of health education in promoting quality healthcare in the hospital. Among the objectives is to access the knowledge of the people concerning curative and preventive medicine. Furthermore, to examine the attitude of the people towards health educational services within their reach and access the level of awareness on preventive health measures via health education services. Many medical and allied literatures were reviewed to develop more facts for the project work. This research uses a cross-sectional descriptive survey to sample 150 people of Ilorin East, Ilorin, Kwara state. Questionnaire is the instrument used to gather and analyze the data, 150 questionnaires were distributed out of which 100 were retrieved. In conclusion, recommendations were made that the Government should as a matter of policy incorporate health education as a core subject/course at different level of education and health education programme should be designed and implemented with cultural and social acceptability in the community/society and health workers are encouraged to give health talk when a client/patient comes to the hospital, and there should be additional Non-governmental organizations and voluntary agencies, which should encourage and embark on health education for the public.
