In the study through available data in the NCDC, the three waves of the COVID-19 pandemic were identified and the cases associated were also reviewed, thus, the study utilized the secondary source of data. The major statistical assessment conducted on the available data of the COVID-19 clinical episodes was the comparison of means across the three waves, which were considered as the various population of interest in this study. The study examined the normality assumption of the data using the Shapiro-Wilks test, where the result of the test indicated that the dataset are not normally distributed, thus the One-Way ANOVA parametric test was not applicable, hence we used the Kruskal Wallis test as an alternative for comparing the sameness of the reported cases of COVID-19 pandemic across the three waves.
