Abstract
Ogho festival is a traditional dance, music and masquerade festival that takes place in Isu LGA of Imo state during the months of June and August. This research work is aimed at educating the public about the tenents of the festival as regards its values and significance to the Isu clan as well as bringing to the fore, a unique painterly rendition of subjects cued from the festival using acrylic colour. Ogho festival presented in a painted landscape will feature a portion of land or territory which the eye can comprehend in a single view including all the objects it contains. The research design adopted here is descriptive in nature and as such, interviews were conducted with various individuals from Isu clan who have connections with the festival, giving credibility to the entirety of this research work. In conclusion, the Ogho festival exhumes peace, love, and happiness to the people and community at large with strong recommendations that it be carried on as a recognized traditional festival within the country and beyond to champion global tourism which can, in turn, boost national income or revenue as well. ...
