The objectives are to highlight the effect of lockdown on the financial performance of small and medium enterprises. To determine the effect of covid -19 infection on the financial performance of small and medium enterprises. The research was carried out in Ofu Local government Area with randomly selected 50 people in selected small and medium-scale enterprises. Using surveying design and test of chi-square to analyze the test. From the research, it was discovered that there are effects of lockdown on the financial performance of small and medium enterprises in Ofu local Government. We recommend that proactive plans should be put in place in anticipation of events such as COVID-19 that will most likely affect the organizations. Businesses should adopt online or digital sales and services.
