Abstract
The research findings helps to dismiss the idea of male chauvinist that men are better than women in all field of human endeavour. The result that there is no significant difference between principals with many years of work experience and those with few years of work experience is unexpected. The findings is at variance with the expectation of the researcher that more experienced principals should perform better than those with less working experience. Studies by Eyike (2001), Omoile (1991) and Obayi (1994), established that experience has no significant effect on the principals leadership role performance. It was observed that the leadership styles of the principals in performing their leadership roles has a lot of effects which may be positive to the upliftment of the school or negative to the down casting of the school. This findings was in consonance with the findings made by previous studies (Adepoju 1996, Bolarinwa 2002) It was also observed that teachers express some attitudes towards the administrative functions of their secondary school principals as regards the way or method the principals carry out their administrative functions ...
