Abstract
The title of this research study is“The Impact of Entrepreneurship Education among University Graduates in a Private Driven Economy: A case study: University of Abuja”. This research was carried out because it was discovered that there are basic benefits and unmaximized advantages of entrepreneurship education among university graduates in Nigeria in improving our youth’s standard of living, reduction of unemployment level and poverty alleviation in Nigeria. The research methodology used for this research is the survey research design. The research instrument used was the questionnaire titled Entrepreneurship Education among University Graduates Questionnaire (EEUGQ) designed by the researcher to elicit responses. The populations of the research study were students in the University of Abuja, Nigeria. A total number of 50 respondents were selected. The data collected from the questionnaire were analyzed in tables, percentages, and mean based on the research questions of the study in chapter one. The findings from the analysis showed that student engagement actively aids the students in releasing their creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship and also, lecturers involved need to be professionally trained in entrepreneurship in providing entrepreneurship education among university graduates in Nigeria. Also, graduates in Nigerian universities with entrepreneurial skills are beneficial to the society they function in and also that graduates set up various lucrative business in various capacities, which will enable them to utilize the local resources (material and human) available to. ...
