Literature related to the study was reviewed, the descriptive research design was adopted in the actual execution of the study. The study population was made up of 5300 workers at Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki. Since the population size was too large for the researcher, Taro Yamane statistical formula was used to derive a manageable sample size of 98 respondents. The instrument employed was direct questionnaire which was personally distributed by the researcher and retrieved appropriately. The collected questionnaire was analyzed using simple frequency table and percentages. At the end of the analysis, the following findings were made: there are challenges that affect Health Information Management, Health Information Personnel play a very vital role in the management of Health Information.
