The research work is aimed to carry out phytochemical and proximate analysis on dry Moringa Oliefera leaves. The phytochemical screening conducted on n-hexane extracts of dry Moringa Oliefera leaves revealed the presence of some bioactive components such as alkaloid, phenol, glycosides saponins volatile oil and protein the amount of Alkaloids phlobatannins, flavonoids, glycoside and protein are high in the leaves. The leaves flavonoid and hydrolyzable are not detected in the leaves extract tannins concentrations are lower in the leaves extract and the amount of glycosides is high in the leave extract. The value obtained from the proximate analysis of dry Moringa Oliefera leaves are ash 3.55%, moisture 15.5% crude protein 17– 56%, crude lipid 1.9% crude fabric 3.6.44%, and total carbohydrate 64.48% respectively. The result shows that Moringa Oliefera has a very high carbohydrate percentage in the leaves. ...Preview Download Preview +Other Science Technology project topics and materials you might be interested in»Design and construction of cell phone charger»Bacteriological qualities of food thickener deuterium microcarpum (ofor) and brachystegia eurcycoma (achi) sold in Owerri main market»Physiochemical assessment of soil samples from Nwambe Reserve Forest, Ndubia Igagu Izzi L.G.A, Ebonyi State.»Obstacle detection robot with ultrasonic sensor»Antitrypanosomal activity of ethanol extract of Tridax Procumbent leaf and whole flower on T.
