The theory researcher used was the Theory of Individual Deficiencies. To successfully carry out this research, three questions were formulated and structured questionnaires were designed based on the research questions. The survey design was adopted, the target population of the study is 100 respondents and 100 respondents were used as sample size as such population is manageable. To find solutions to the problems of poverty on education development, the research work used primary and secondary data as it was only restricted to Makurdi Local Government Area, Benue State. A sample of 100 respondents was selected using cluster sampling technique. The data collected was analyzed and presented in a tabular form for easy understanding. Also, simple percentages were used for further analysis.
