Abstract
This study was undertaken to ascertain the strategies for curbing unemployment through adequate skills development among Office Technology and Management graduates in the Polytechnic, Bali, Taraba State. Three research questions guided the study. Related literature were reviewed and the study adopted a survey research design.  The instrument used for the collection of data was a 24-item questionnaire structured on a four-point rating scale. Data were presented and analyzed using simple arithmetic mean.  The study revealed amongst others that touch typing, the ability to type using all fingers, without looking at the keyboard is a rare and a much demanded skills for curbing employment opportunities, and that the ability to process information for effective decision making is uncommon skill demanded in the labor market.  It was recommended amongst others that the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) should endeavor to timely and consistently review the OTM curriculum to accommodate more skills oriented courses in order to reduce the complete dependency on white-collar jobs, and that the management of the Polytechnic, Bali, Taraba State should ensure adequate provision of relevance facilities so as to enhance teaching and learning in the institution....
