The purpose of this study is to examine whether e-payment have a positive impact on the service delivery of the banking Sector, to evaluate whether e-payment systems can help in preventing and controlling fraud in the banking sector and to access whether there is a significant relationship between electronic payment systems and the banking sector. A descriptive survey research design was adopted in the study. The methods of data collection were primary and secondary methods of data collection. The primary data was collected using questionnaires. The researcher analyzed the data collected based on the response from the questionnaire distributed. From the population of 120, a sample size of 92 was chosen using Taro Yamane formula. Frequency counts, percentages and chi-square were used to analyze the research questions from which the following findings were drawn. The findings revealed that e-payment system helps in preventing and controlling fraud in the public sector and it reduces cases of corruption and it increases overall efficiency in the public sector.
