The rats were assigned into five (5) groups of five (5) rats each. Group1 being the normal control was given feed and water only group 2, 200mg/kg of the extract group 3, 400 mg/kg group 4, 600 mg/kg and group 5, 800mg/kg. Groups 2 to 3, served as the treatment group while group 1 served as control. There was no significant difference (P0.05) between the two control groups and the treatment groups for the TG, HDL and TC . However.
