This project is based on how to construct a standard metal door for Civil Engineering concrete workshop. It is aimed at how each piece of metal can be designed and constructed. The measuring, cutting, drawing and mechanical properties of metals are discussed in chapter one with special highlights on how the metal door is used in the building. The aim and objective of the study, significant of the study and limitations of the study are also discussed. The chapter two focuses on literature review which explains what scholars have written on the subject matter which includes the types of metal doors, the advantages and disadvantages, corrosion and the protection of the metal door. While chapter three takes care of tools equipment, materials used in other to design and construct metal doors and also the procedure of construction. Chapter four comprises the presentation of results and photographs taken. It also shows details of the market surveyor on the item used in the construction of the metal door. And the detailed work and bill of quantity (BOQ) were prepared. The total cost of the metal door with labour as shown in BOQ is N25,550 and the cost of the door in the market is N30,000 which gave a profit of N4,450 for marketing one metal door. The fifth chapter which is the last chapter of the project discussed the summary, conclusion and recommendation of the project. This project work construction of metal doors will be useful to Civil Engineering that deals with metal....
