Disruptive survey was employed for this study and 2,236 outpatients attending consultative outpatient departments were the population while Taro Yemane formula was used to determine our sample size which gave us 339 patients as the research sample size. A total number of 339 participants were recruited for the study using the convenience sample technique. The instrument used for data collection is questionnaire. Data were analyzed using percentage and presented using frequency tables. The findings exposed the choice of the appointment system in the hospital and its impact to ensure patients waiting time is reduced, the percentage of the participants proof the importance of patient appointment system in the hospital. In conclusion, the patient appointment system was seen as a vital tool in reducing patients waiting time in the hospital.
