It informed the policymakers on the factors affecting extramarital affairs among married women in the locality. Among the objectives is to maintain and create a comprehensive document on factors contributing to extra-marital affairs among married women for the government and to determine the relationship between the levels of awareness of the health implications associated with extra-marital affairs and the practice of extra-marital affairs by married women. Furthermore, to know if there is any relationship between the sexual behavior of married women and the practice of extra-marital affairs. This research uses descriptive survey to sample residents of Ilorin Metropolis. Questionnaire is the instrument used to gather and analyze the data, 200 questionnaires were distributed out of which 200 were also retrieved. In conclusion, recommendations were made that parents should encourage their children, particularly female children to go to school, women, despite their state of unemployment should learn a vocation so as to be self-sufficient and self-reliant. Lastly, the government should formulate and implement policies to curb or eradicate prostitution in our society.
