The secondary data was sourced from the Central Bank of Nigeria. The study adopts the ordinary least square estimation technique in modeling and estimating the model. All the variables are tested for stationary using Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF) Unit root test, and the variables were found to be stationary at first difference. The Johansen juselius based cointegration test was also employed to test for cointegration in the series. The results revealed strong evidence of cointegration in the series, which suggests that government expenditure (on health) and GDP have a long run relationship over the sample period. All the coefficients have the correct signs, which are positive, indicating a positive relationship between the variables used in the model.
