Abstract
This research work was conducted to assess knowledge and practice of testicular self-examination among students of UITH School Complex. It informed the health officers of the knowledge of testicular self-examination in the school. Among the objectives was to assess knowledge of testicular self-examination among university students and to determine the frequency of practice of testicular self-examination among university students. Furthermore, to determine possible factors/barriers that prevent university students from practicing testicular self-examination. Many medical and allied literatures were reviewed to develop more facts for the project work. This research uses descriptive survey to sample students of UITH School Complex. Questionnaire is the instrument used to gather and analyze the data, 116 questionnaires were distributed out of which 105 were also retrieved. In conclusion, recommendations were made that students should acquire more knowledge about testicular self-examination, and students should also follow the right steps involved in testicular self-examination. Nurses should also educate men at the age of puberty on the importance of testicular self-examination...
