Abstract
This research work was conducted to determine or estimate on prevalence of measles infection among children 0-9 years of age in the selected hospitals of Katcha local government area of Niger state. It informed the health officers on the prevalence of measles in the locality. Among the objectives was to assess the knowledge of the prevalence of measles infection among children 0-7 years of age in Katcha local government area of Niger state and to determine the attitude of prevalence of measles infection among children 0-7 years of age in Katcha local government area of Niger State. Furthermore, to identify the prevention of prevalence of measles infection among children 0-7 years of age in Katcha local government area of Niger State. Many medical and allied literatures were reviewed to develop more facts for the project work. This research use descriptive survey to sample selected hospitals in Katcha local government area of Niger State. Questionnaire is the instrument used to gather and analyze the data, 101 questionnaires were distributed out of which 95 were also retrieved. In conclusion, recommendations were made that Mothers should bring out their children for immunization and ensure that they receive complete dose, health education should be given to mothers on the importance of immunization scheduled, and constant availability of vaccines should be provided in clinics. And lastly, to conduct a motivating campaign for immunization programs. ...
