It informed the health officers on the knowledge of pregnant women about preparedness in the hospital. Among the objectives was to assess the knowledge of pregnant women on birth preparedness and complication readiness at Okelele comprehensive healthcare centre, Ilorin and to identify the level of birth preparedness and complication readiness among pregnant women at Okelele comprehensive healthcare centre, Ilorin. Furthermore, to identify factors influencing the knowledge on birth preparedness and complication readiness among pregnant women at Okelele comprehensive healthcare centre, Ilorin. Many medical and allied literatures were reviewed to develop more facts for the project work. This research use descriptive survey to sample pregnant women attending Okelele comprehensive health centre, Ilorin. Questionnaire is the instrument used to gather and analyze the data, 125 questionnaires were distributed out of which 125 were also retrieved. In conclusion, recommendations were made that government should encourage the media on proper awareness of birth preparedness and complication readiness, adequate visitation at the nearby health facilities during pregnancy for proper care, also sensitization of pregnant women's knowledge on birth preparedness and complication readiness.
