This research study was carried out among nurses of UITH. The researcher described the background of the study, statement of the problem, and three research questions were formulated. There was an in-depth description of the literature review and the theoretical review. Descriptive research design was adopted for this research and the research setting was in the clinical area of UITH. UITH nurses were the target population used for this study and a sample size of 82 was calculated using Taro Yamane formula. The instrument for data collection was a well self-structured questionnaire. 82 questionnaires were distributed to the nurses of UITH using convenience sampling technique and all 82 of the questionnaires were retrieved. An ethical approval was collected from the ethical review committee of the school to carry on with the research. Data analysis was done using percentages, frequency tables and bar charts. Three research questions were asked and the results show that the majority of the nurses agreed that poor infrastructure has an influence on nurses’ efficiency, majority also agreed with staff shortage, stressful work environment, limited resources, unfavorable work shifts. The result also shows that more than half of the nurses agreed that rebellion, absenteeism, reduced sense of responsibility and commitment of nurses as influences on nurses’ efficiency.
