Abstract
This research work was conducted to determine the knowledge and attitude of men on the acceptance of family planning in Ilorin East local Government, Kwara State. It informed the health officers on the understanding of men regarding the acceptance of family planning. Among the objectives was to assess the level of knowledge of family planning among men in Ilorin East local government and determine the attitude of men toward the acceptance of family planning in Ilorin East local government. Furthermore, to identify factors that influence the acceptance of family planning among men in Ilorin East local government. Many medical and allied literatures were reviewed to develop more facts for the project work. This research uses descriptive survey to sample men in the study area. Questionnaire is the instrument used to gather and analyze the data, 88 questionnaires were distributed out of which 80 were also retrieved. In conclusion, recommendations were made that men should always seek knowledge of family planning to improve their quality of life, they should also enlighten the whole public that family planning is for all persons regardless of gender in order to improve the quality of life. And lastly, provisions of health care services at strategic locations where men can easily access adequate information regarding family planning. ...
