Abstract
This study determines the relationship between employee empowerment and organizational performance in the private sector in Rivers State. The total population for the study consisted of 150 employees. The study adopted Quasi-experimental design, simple random sampling methods were used. 150 copies of questionnaires were administered to the respondents and retrieved, simple percentage and chi-square (x2) were used as a statistical tool to analyze the research question and hypotheses. The study reveals that there is a significant relationship between employee empowerment and organizational performance. The study concluded that employee empowerment is granting individuals some authority and responsibility for making decisions related to their unique organizational responsibilities. It enables choices to be taken at lower levels of an organization, where employees have a unique perspective on the difficulties and problems that the business faces at a certain level. Employee training is a type of training and development program that helps employees enhance their performance. The study recommends that In line with the number one objective, management should make a concrete effort to enhance the training of employees in the First Aluminum Group Plc, management should intensify the reward system for employees for the purpose of employee self-determination and effectiveness at work in the first aluminum group plc and in line with number three objective, the employee should be given the opportunity to access information towards effectiveness and productivity in the First Aluminum Group Plc....
