Therefore, this study examined performance appraisal as a tool for achieving organizational objectives in the covid-19 era. The study employed both primary and secondary methods of data collection with 90 staff of MC Plastics Limited, Kano as sample size for the study, while secondary sources used comprised related literature on the study through journals, the internet and textbooks. Statistical package for social sciences (SPSS, version 23) was used to analyze the data. The study reviewed the necessary literature related to the study. The findings of the study revealed that performance appraisal is important to organizations because it helps to ensure that the organization will be easily understood by employees and effectively put into action by managers. The study recommends among others that organizations should take performance appraisal criteria seriously in order to bring about workers’ productivity leading to organizational objectives.
