This work focused on training office technology and management students for job demands and self-employment in Kogi State, Nigeria using Kogi State Polytechnic as the case study. The methodology adopted in gathering data was both the primary and secondary sources data. The major instrument used to gather data from primary sources is the questionnaire. From a population of one hundred (100), a sample size of eighty (80) respondents was selected using simple random technique. From the findings, it was revealed that OTM training will help students to acquire skills for self-employment, make the youth intelligent uses of the products of technology. OTM programme will equip students with the competencies required to work in a modern office environment. It is therefore recommended that Polytechnic institutions should provide an enabling environment for the OTM programme to be able to prepare students with the required skills. This can be done by way of providing different types of office machines and equipment, internet facilities, computers, and other gadgets and devices. In addition, the experiences and skills needed in modern offices should be made available for the training and preparation of the student to acquire skills, competencies, and knowledge as required in the modern office right from the school....
