The purpose of the study was to evaluate factors influencing non-adherence to haemodialysis treatment among patients with chronic kidney disease in the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, to evaluate factors influencing non-adherence to medication regimen among patients, to evaluate factors influencing non-adherence to fluid therapy among patients, to evaluate factors influencing non-adherence to dietary modification among patients. A total of 100 questionnaires were distributed among patients with chronic kidney disease at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, using random sampling technique to collect the data needed for the study. The study showed that transportation challenges, financial constraints, fear of discomfort during treatment, inconvenient treatment timing, feeling unwell after treatment, lack of social support are the factors influencing adherence to haemodialysis treatment among patients with chronic kidney disease in University of Ilorin Teaching hospital. The study also revealed that the belief that medication are unnecessary, complexity of medication schedule, lack of trust in a prescribed medication, by high medication cost and other factors were factors that influenced adherence to medication regimen among the patients.
