The purpose of the study was to determine participants’ gender in relation to the prevalence of chronic kidney disease risk factors, to determine participants’ occupational status in relation to the prevalence of CKD risk factors among adults, to determine participants’ biophysical measurements in relation to the prevalence of CKD risk factors, to determine participants’ laboratory investigations results in relation to CKD risk factors. Literatures from previous studies were consulted using journals and books. A total of 105 questionnaires were distributed among adults in Yagba East Local Government Area, Yagba, Kogi State, using random sampling technique to collect the data needed for the study and were analyzed using SPSS version 25. The study showed that there was a relationship between the gender of adults and the prevalence of chronic kidney disease in Yagba. It also showed that there was a relationship between the occupation of adults and the prevalence of chronic kidney disease. The study further showed that there is a positive relationship between biophysical measurements, adult’s laboratory investigations and the prevalence of chronic kidney disease. It was concluded that there was a relationship between the gender of adults and the prevalence of chronic kidney disease risk factors in Yagba East LGA. It was also concluded that there is a relationship between the occupation of adults and the prevalence of chronic kidney disease risk factors.
