It encompasses the period up to 2021, utilizing available data and information. The study examines various forms of ODA, including financial aid, technical assistance, and capacity-building initiatives. A mixed-methods research design was employed. This design combines both quantitative and qualitative approaches to provide a comprehensive understanding of the impact of overseas development assistance on economic growth in Nigeria. The study employed annual time series data from 1990 to 2017 which were obtained from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Statistical Bulletin and World Development Indicators (WDI). Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression was employed for the analysis of the data. It further considered descriptive statistics and econometric analytical tools in analyzing data. The descriptive tools consist of tables, and graphs while the econometric tools on the other hand is made up of Unit Root test under which the Augmented Dikkey Fuller Test (ADF) tests was conducted to test the null hypothesis that a series has unit root. The findings of the study revealed that overseas development assistance (ODA) inflows show significant variability, yet the weak positive relationship and non-significant p-value in the regression analysis raise questions about the substantial impact of ODA on economic growth. Trade activities exhibit considerable volatility, emphasizing the sensitivity of global engagement to external factors. The analysis of overseas development assistance (ODA) inflows reveals a wide range from 152 million to 11.43 billion units, reflecting significant variability in external financial assistance. The high standard deviation underscores the potential impact of global economic dynamics and changing international aid policies on the recipient country....Preview Download Preview +Other Economics project topics and materials you might be interested in»The impact of industrialization on Nigeria's economic development»The impact of minimum wage fluctuation on growth of Nigerian economy»Population growth and economic development in Nigeria (1981-2011)»The impact of population growth on the Nigerian economy (1980-2010)»The impact of petroleum subsidy on the consumption of petroleum products in Nigeria»The impact of small and medium scale industries on the economic growth of Nigeria (1986 – 2010)»The impact of industrial output on the economy of Nigeria (1980-2010)»The growth of Nigerian economy and unemployment (1980-2010)»The effect of external debt on economic growth of Nigeria»Impact of government expenditure on Nigerian economic growth (1981 – 2010)»Poverty and the Nigerian economy»An assessment on the impact of industrialization on economic growth in Nigeria»The impact of external debt on Nigeria economy (1985-2011)»Inequality and taxation in Nigeria (1980-2010)»The impact of bank lending on the growth of small and medium business in Osun State
