Descriptive survey research design was adopted, with an average population of 22 female adolescents who visited the hospital per clinic day. Complete enumeration was used in place of sample size as the research instrument for data collection. The study found that unsafe abortion is a significant public health issue causing serious complications including maternal mortality and damage to reproductive organs. There is a direct relationship between abortion and death rates. Furthermore, sex education, access to effective contraception, affordable healthcare services and social support systems have been identified as crucial factors in reducing the abortion rate among adolescents.
