The impact of N-Power programmes on poverty reduction in Taraba state - study of Gashaka local government area Department: Public Administration By: SIRJOSEPH Project ID: 8581 Rating: (5.0) votes: 1Rate this project12345 Price:₦4000 Get the Complete MaterialAbstractThis study titled“the Impact of N-Power Programmes on Poverty Reduction in Taraba State (Gashaka), to carry out the research successfully, the researcher set the following objectives to assess the level of awareness and participation in N-Power programmes among the residents of the Gashaka region, to evaluate the impact of the N-Power programmes on income levels, employment opportunities, and skill development among the beneficiaries in the Gashaka region, to identify the challenges and barriers faced by the N-Power beneficiaries in the Gashaka region in accessing and effectively utilizing the programme benefits. To successfully carry out this research, three questions will be formulated and structured questionnaire was designed based on the research questions with a five-point scale as an instrument for data analysis. The survey design was adopted and the population of the study was 90 respondents. A sample of 90 respondents was selected using simple random sampling technique. The data collected was analysed and presented in a tabular form for easy understanding. Also, simple percentages were used for further analysis. The study also uses both descriptive and analytical methods in analysing the data from the sampled area and recommendations were made thus that the government should encourage the strengthening of the capability for unemployed rural and urban dwellers. Since unemployed people constitute an increasing portion of the rural dwellers, economic policies should aim at enhancing their youth empowerment and poverty alleviation in Taraba State. Equitable access to financial resources and services should be provided.
